Undiluted White Vinegar + Undiluted Hydrogen Peroxide = Killing Gems!

Killing gems by utilizing harmful antibacterial chemicals which are technically registered as pesticides by the Environmental Protection Agency are suspected of contributing to antibiotic resistance by some medical organizations.

Use hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar, or ordinary rubbing alcohol to kill bacteria in your kitchen sink drain and on your countertops and cutting boards.

One easy trick is to spray surfaces with undiluted vinegar followed by undiluted hydrogen peroxide and let it dry. This combo has been found by food safety scientists to kill a variety of foodborne bacteria, including E. coli and salmonella.
